DID OBAMA OUTDO TRUMP? TWITTER EXPLODES WITH #OBAMAOUTDIDTRUMP THREAD ON SUNDAY

Jon Cooper leads an organization whose mission began in 2016 to keep Donald Trump from becoming president. Cooper, a longtime Democrat and supporter of Barack Obama from Day One, launched a Twitter hashtag Sunday morning that claims Obama has outdone Trump.

Cooper, the New York chairman for Democratic Coalition, on Sunday morning posted a tweet with #ObamaOutdidTrump. Within four hours, the hashtag had more than 9,000 tweets. He then asked his followers to make it go viral, and did it ever.

Sunday morning, Cooper posted a graphic about job growth, and said a retweet of it "will hurt Trump's re-election chances and make him VERY UPSET!" He posted the hashtag at the end of the tweet.

Cooper had a smaller post asking folks to make #ObamaOutdidTrump trend on the social media platform.

By 7:45 p.m. ET on Sunday, it had more than 112,000 tweets, mostly from those who support Obama or oppose Trump. Some people defended Trump in the tweet, but for the most part, it was a left-leaning following.

Those who supported the notion of Obama "outdoing" Trump said things like (tweets are linked inside each quote)

• "Job growth numbers show, #Trump's government did worse than Obama's."

• "President Obama was there to serve the American people and improve our country's governance. Trump is only there to enrich himself at the expense of all of us."

• "Obama totally scorched Trump at the White House Press Dinner!"

• "in every way imaginable when it comes to respecting, including & advocating for WOMEN & GIRLS."

• "with his pure humanity"

• "Babies don't ever like Trump. Look they are trying to get away from the devil"

• "in taking photos. Seriously, has anyone ever noticed that Obama is incapable of taking a bad photo?"

• "Respect for American Traditions"

• "By looking healthy and fit"

• "with his winning two presidential elections without Putin's help."

• "My President, Barack Obama buried Trump with humor, compassion and results."

• "Obama's legacy is set in stone! ... Trump's legacy...his name will be used for a new mental illness that affected him or if he is lucky, there might be a landfill site named after him."

Of course, it's the internet and not every tweet completely follows one party. There were some who gave reasons why they believe Tump "outdid" Obama. Here are a few of them:

• "The same people that brought you Clinton & Clinton, Russia conspiracy, spying on Americans, using NSA database for profit, Kavanaugh attacks, no borders, vote harvesting," and more.

• "#ObamaOutdidTrump In getting boys access to girl's restrooms"

• "#ObamaOutdidTrump in wasting money on social programs that failed miserably, creating minimum wage jobs, shortening work hours from 40 to 30, creating division between #America because he was #RacistPresident with a #RacistFirstLady."

Then, there were middle-of-the-road Twitter users who bashed both Obama and Trump, and there were others who shed light on other topics in the United States.
