乌克兰总统泽连斯基表示,他与川普总统进行了交谈

  乌克兰总统弗拉基米尔·泽连斯基周日表示,他已与美国总统唐纳德·特朗普(Donald Trump)通了电话,称此次对话“重要”,并表示两人同意在纽约会面。

  在一个社交媒体帖子泽连斯基说,这次会议“可能会改变很多”,他和川普在讨论中“经历了很多”。

  Ukrainian President Zelenskyy says he spoke with President Trump

  Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Sunday he had spoken with President Donald Trump, describing the conversation as "important" and saying the two agreed to meet in New York.

  In asocial media post, Zelenskyy said the meeting "could change a lot" and that he and Trump "got through a lot" during their discussion.

  "There is diplomatic momentum," Zelenskyy wrote.

  Zelenskyy's post did not indicate at what time the New York meeting might take place.

  Zelenskyy also thanked Trump for thevisit to Kyiv earlier this monthby presidential envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, the president's son-in-law.

  "We went through the key details thoroughly, and they saw the situation in Ukraine firsthand. The peace track is our number one priority," Zelenskyy said.

  Zelenskyy added that there are "ideas for de-escalation steps and for addressing fundamental security issues – energy security, food security, and the protection of human life."

  "We are working together with the American team and are ready to take really serious steps," Zelenskyy wrote.

  Zelenskyy concluded by thanking Trump for signing theLindsey Graham billinto law.

  The bill, named after the late Republican senator and which was passed by Congress this month, imposes primary and secondary sanctions on Russia and other countries that support Russia in its invasion of Ukraine.

  "We all concur – there must be peace," Zelenskyy concluded his post, thanking "everyone who stands with Ukraine."
