唐纳德·特朗普总统周二晚上抨击了福克斯新闻，尤其是玛莎·麦卡勒姆玛莎·麦卡勒姆的故事。

在一条推特上，当节目还在播出时，总统说有线电视台对前2020年民主党总统候选人加州众议员埃里克·斯威尔相当宽容。特朗普称麦卡勒姆对斯威尔的调查为“垒球问题”，涉及穆勒对俄罗斯和特朗普2016年竞选团队可能勾结的调查。

特朗普还在1月份通过另一条推特攻击了福克斯新闻的主持人，称他们“忘记了把他们带到那里的人”

“我从没想过我会这么说，但我认为[福克斯新闻记者约翰·罗伯茨]和[·吉利恩·特纳]对华尔街谈判的了解甚至不如美国有线电视新闻网和美国全国广播公司的虚假新闻！”他在一月份发推特。

TRUMP SLAMS FOX NEWS HOST FOR 'ENDLESS SOFTBALL QUESTIONS' TO DEM REP. ERIC SWALWELL

President Donald Trump took a swipe at Fox News on Tuesday evening, particularly at Martha MacCallum, host of The Story with Martha MacCallum.

In a tweet while the show was still on air, the president said the cable news station was being quite lenient on California Rep. Eric Swalwell, a former 2020 Democratic presidential nominee. Trump called MacCallum's inquiries to Swalwell "softball questions" about the Mueller investigation into possible collusion between Russia and the Trump 2016 campaign.

"Just watched Rep. Eric Swalwell be asked endless softball questions by @marthamaccallum on @FoxNews about the phony Witch Hunt. He was just forced out of the Democrat Presidential Primary because he polled at ZERO," Trump tweeted.

"Fox sure ain't what it used to be. Too bad!" he added. "Oh well, we still have the great @seanhannity who I hear has a really strong show tonight. 9:00 P.M."

Former Special Counsel Robert Mueller is scheduled for a long-awaited hearing before committee on Wednesday.

Trump typically gets most-favorable TV coverage from Fox News as compared to CNN, MSNBC and most other cable news outlets. And even though he has a cozy relationship with Fox News, he hasn't backed down from taking jabs even at them when he feels necessary.

Earlier this month, the president said Fox News "is now loading up with Democrats & even using Fake unsourced @nytimes a 'source' of information," according to Politico. He went as far to say the network's weekend anchors were actually worse than "Fake News CNN" or even "lyin' Bryan Williams."

"Watching @FoxNews weekend anchors is worse than watching low ratings Fake News @CNN, or Lyin' Brian Williams (remember when he totally fabricated a War Story trying to make himself into a hero, & got fired. A very dishonest journalist!) and the crew of degenerate......"

He finished his tweet on July 7 by saying, "....Comcast (NBC/MSNBC) Trump haters, who do whatever Brian & Steve tell them to do. Like CNN, NBC is also way down in the ratings. But@FoxNews, who failed in getting the very BORING Dem debates, is now loading up with Democrats & even using Fake unsourced @nytimes as...."

Trump also bashed Fox News hosts in January through another tweet, saying they "forgot the people who got them there."

"Never thought I'd say this but I think [Fox News reporters John Roberts] and [Gillian Turner] have even less understanding of the Wall negotiations than the folks at FAKE NEWS CNN & NBC!" he tweeted in January.

"@FoxNews is changing fast, but they forgot the people who got them there!"
