DONALD TRUMP DECRIES 'DERANGED HYPERPARTISAN IMPEACHMENT WITCH HUNT' AT KENTUCKY RALLY
At a rally in Lexington, Kentucky Monday night, President Donald J. Trump accused the Democrats of creating a "deranged hyperpartisan impeachment witch hunt."
Trump also said that if the Democrats gained power, the U.S. would "have a depression the likes of which you've never seen, mark my words."
This came after Trump talked about the U.S. military victories over the Islamic State.
"The monstrous animal known as al-Baghdadi is dead," Trump said, "and the man that took his place is dead, also."
"American Special forces gave the world's number one terrorist a one-way ticket to hell," Trump added.
Trump's visit to the Bluegrass State comes the day before the general election where Republican incumbent Matt Bevin will face Democratic opponent, Attorney General Andy Beshear.
"How can you vote for someone from the extreme left?" Trump asked the boisterous crowd. "Beshear is a lefty."
Turning to Bevin, Trump asked, "Are you sure we need an election tomorrow, Matt?"
Trump took aim at Nancy Pelosi, who has spearheaded the impeachment proceedings against Trump.
"There's been no place in the country that has gone down like the area Nancy Pelosi represents," the president said. "Nancy ought to stop wasting time, go back to her district in San Francisco." He suggested she help the homeless and get rid of the drugs.
Trump also made mention of the garbage in the streets of San Francisco, decrying "all the things that are washing into the ocean through their storm sewer system."
President Donald Trump waves during a "Keep America Great" campaign rally at BancorpSouth Arena on November 1, 2019 in Tupelo, Mississippi.
Trump also brought Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, senior U.S. senator from Kentucky, to the stage to talk about appointing federal judges.
"Nobody's done more to change the court system in our country than Donald Trump," McConnell said. "And Mr. President, we're gonna keep on doing it. My motto is, 'leave no vacancy behind.'"
"We'd like to thank President Obama because no one has ever been so generous to us in our lives," Trump said, referring to Obama leaving judgeships vacant at the end of his term, allowing Trump's administration to place conservative judges in the courts.
Rand Paul, the junior U.S. senator from Kentucky, also made an appearance with Trump, pleading with the congress to subpoena the whistleblower in the impeachment inquiry.
"We also now know the name of the whistleblower," Paul said. "The whistleblower needs to come before Congress as a material witness because he worked for Joe Biden at the same time Hunter Biden was getting money from corrupt oligarchs."
"I say tonight to the media, do your job and print his name!" said Paul.
"Wow, that was excellent!" Trump said when Paul was finished speaking.
The president also said he expects endorsements from both Amazon and "the failing Washington Post."
Environmental politics also were mentioned during the president's remarks as he discussed the U.S. pulling out of the Paris climate accord, which Trump referred to as "horrible, costly [and] one-sided."
"We're putting our great miners back to work," Trump said.
"The sell-out of the American nation ended the day I took the oath of office," he added.
